Gators Coaching Staff:

We are thrilled to see all of our 2016 coaches return for another great season!

Chris Ianni:  We are very happy to welcome back Chris Ianni as our head swim coach for the 2017 season. Chris is in his third year leading the Gators, and has a strong coaching and swimming background. Chris is a Latin & Math teacher at Upper Dublin High School, and is the Assistant Swim Coach for the UDHS Girls Swim Team, and the Head Coach for both the UDHS Boys & Girls Water Polo teams. Chris developed his passion for water sports at a young age while swimming for the Buxmont Summer league, and continued at North Penn High School where he was part of a PIAA State Championship Swim Team, and led his Water Polo team as captain to a PA State Championship title. Chris graduated cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with a dual major in Math and Classical Studies, with a minor in Business.  Chris looks forward to leading the Gators this season by encouraging the development of competitive swimming skills with an emphasis on sportsmanship, team camaraderie, and fun.  Contact Coach Chris at cianni@udsd.org

Alaina Schumann: We once again welcome Alaina Schumann as our Head Diving Coach for her second season. Alaina comes to us from Germantown Academy where she is an Inter-AC League Diving Champion, and multiple team record holder, and will be diving for Bucknell University next year.  Alaina has been helping develop and mentor youth divers through the Germantown Academy Aquatic Club diving clinics under the direction of GA Head Coach, and former SW Gator & University of California Berkley diver Tom Henninger.  Coupled with her enthusiasm for diving and teaching, Alaina brings a positive energy and knowledgeable approach to leading the Gators Diving team.

Carolyn Lyons:  Welcome back to Assistant Swim Coach Carolyn Lyons for the 2017 season. Carolyn is a former SW Gator, and grew up swimming for SWSC, and is now a seasoned lifeguard and swim instructor for the club. She attends LaSalle University, majoring in Special Education. She is terrific with children, and brings a fun, sunny energy to the Gators. She loves being part of our Gator tradition!

Tyler Rinko: We are happy to see Tyler Rinko, another former Sunny Willow Gator, return to Assistant Swim Coach the Gators this season. Tyler is in his 5th year of assistant coaching with the Gators, although took a brief hiatus from the Gators to pursue a teaching opportunity abroad. Tyler is a graduate of Roanoke University and plans to pursue his MBA in the near future. He loves coaching, and coaches soccer & lacrosse in addition to his Sunny Willow Gators.

Eugene Feeley: Assistant Coach Eugene Feeley is returning to the Gators for 2017. Eugene is a graduate of University of Delaware, and a former North Penn swimmer and water polo player. He is a high school Math teacher and enjoys working with and coaching young swimmers to improve their skills and enjoy the sport. He brings a fun energy to the Gators squad.
